I bought my bonsai almost 2 months ago and it was doing great with new growth. I am including pictures of before and current tree condition.  We have a Chinese Elm Bonsai tree indoors, the tree has shed it‚Äôs leaves in Oct. I hope it hasn’t dried out too much so that the roots and trunk have died.  Use a new container for your bonsai tree. You need to do this because it is very likely that the old one is already contaminated with disease or pests.

The pot must be clean and should be the ideal size for the bonsai. It should be approximately equal to the diameter of the tree’s trunk.  Your bonsai tree is so delicate that anytime it is not getting enough water may turn its leaves brown and begin to die. If ever you see brown branches, you can prune them away immediately so your bonsai plant can focus on getting healthy. Keep your bonsai well watered. Mist the foliage and leaves every few days.  I am new to the bonsai community.

I purchased my first tree (28yr old Chinese Elm) about 8-10 months ago and it had been doing really well.  Chinese Elm Bonsai Tree dying. Please Help!!! I bought a Chinese Elm around 6 months ago. The leaves started falling off recently but I saw.  Most new bonsai tree owners don’t know how to care for their bonsai. If it is, it might be privet, maple, elm, fuchsia, Quercus, cotoneaster.
